2023 Young Playwright in Residence
|
Our first ever Young Playwright in Residence, Gavin McGinnis presented his new play Alamo: A New Musical on March 11, 2023 in New York City at Theatre [Untitled]'s 2023 Reading Series!
A longtime admirer of the theater for all 15 years of his life, Gavin has performed in many school productions, as well as performing in and writing pieces for many shows and showcases as a part of the Forestburgh Academy program, and his mind is veritable catalogue of useless theatrical information. He relishes in having the unique distinction of being the only kid in his school district to be able to distinguish between Rogers and Hammerstein and Rogers and Hart. He dedicates this piece and every piece thereafter to his theatrical hero and role model, Stephen Sondheim. Long live the arts! |
